What a pleasant experience at blue lobster Public House! I was visiting Pictou County and was surprised at this beautiful restaurant! We went for dinner as a family and we all enjoyed our meals. The chowder is delicious!! The atmosphere is quite unique and I really enjoyed it. We went a couple weeks ago during March break, so it was quite cold, but I could imagine how lively this place could get in the summertime. To our surprise there was live music that started just as we were finishing up our supper. It was a bit expensive, but I would say worth it for the experience. Our server was lovely and quick. Great experience, I would love to go back.

We were tired and hungry when we arrived after taking the ferry from PEI I researched for a place on Google and decided on this place Just loved the interior of this distillery/restaurant for the Blue Lobster brand We shared the blueberry vodka soda (as I was driving). Very good The menu was inventive. My son and I had the deep fried chicken burger and ordered truffle poutine on the side Our table mate ordered the Cobb Salad and ate every bite. He said it was delicious The chicken burger was one of the best I have ever had. They cook everything in a food truck inside right in front of you There were large flat screen TV’s to view the Olympics and a very large central bar. Lots of seating outdoors as well Highly recommend this place

The food is INCREDIBLE! Fell in love with this hidden gem and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff warmly welcomed us right away and we loved the local seltzers they prepare and how many delicious flavours there are. Bonus there’s no added sugar in many of the varieties. We were sure what to expect with the food menu but our minds were blown with what we experienced. Pasta Meatball dish that a person at our table ordered was had homemade pasta and was so fresh! The nachos were some of the best we’ve had (added beef) and meatballs were big, flavourful and done just right. The tuna stack (subbed tortilla chips) was flavoured so well. So much love in these dishes and they were accommodating with our requests. We bought some of the souvenirs classes and felt they were priced fairly. They just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and it’s so amazing to see this success. Well-deserved! We hope to find these products in Alberta when we go home.

We stopped by the Blue Lobster as it was one of the last of the stamps we needed for our Taste of Nova Scotia Cheer Trail passport and really enjoyed our visit. The bartender was very personable and we had a great conversation about all kinds of subjects. The drinks were all absolutely fantastic and we really enjoyed the various "low bush" blueberry drinks they had and the education we got while drinking them! Loved the vibe of the whole operation and the food truck inside along with the hangout space outside!

We went in Wednesday night and it was open mic; sit inside if you’re not into that; but it was entertaining and nice to sit out on their terrace. Everything we ordered was good and they’re a brewery/distillery so they have a nice selection of drinks and beers.

On our trip through Nova Scotia, we were originally looking for a lobster dinner but ended up at Blue Lobster for fish and chips—and I’m so glad we did. The setup is super cool with an actual food truck inside the restaurant and a brewery in the back. I really wish this place was local because I’d be there all the time. We started with the mussels. I’m usually not a fan, but my buddies each ordered some, so I tried one... then immediately regretted not getting my own. They were that good. Whatever sauce they use is unreal—I could’ve drank it. For dinner, we all got different things. The fish and chips were a solid choice, especially with garlic truffle fries. One buddy had the blackened chicken, which was insanely moist and flavorful. I went for the spicy honey chicken sandwich—and it was the star of the show. I dont know how they got all that flavor in and wasn't dried out. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it beat out every steak and lobster dish we had on the trip. Hands down my favorite stop during the whole trip.
